SUPPORT ST. THEODOSIUS

outside2.jpg

In May 2024, our friends and neighbors at St Theodosius Orthodox Christian Cathedral suffered a devastating fire that caused significant damage throughout including to the roof and the main dome.

St Theodosius is on the National Register of Historic places and is a quintessential piece of the Tremont neighborhood and beauty.

Despite insurance, the repairs will require significant funding as the church must use artisans who know how to perform 113-year-old construction methods.

To help support their repair efforts, we are selling custom-designed t-shirts in the cafe and on our webstore , proceeds benefiting the church.

We are also accepting donations at the cafe, whether it's a spare dollar or rounding up your receipt when you cash out  - every little bit counts and we hope our community can come together for this cause.

A LETTER FROM OUR OWNER (July 2024)-- I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of Lucky's amazing patrons and all of the friends of St. Theodosius.

I have to admit that these days I often find myself wondering how we got here. When I say "we", I mean we as people. How have things gotten this disjointed and so very far from a place of community and love?

But then I see the turnout and support for St. Theodosius and I’m reminded of the good in this world.

When I first heard about the devastating fire at St. Theodosius (my neighbor for the past 20+ years) it rocked me. "Not now" I thought. Now is when people need a place to be together and feel love and be ignited by belief.

We knew we had to help them. We had to make sure that they knew that they are surrounded by a community that will help them. Oh boy, did you!!! Including the check we wrote last week, you have helped us raise over $10,000 between t-shirt sales and donations. That is amazing!

We are by no means finished. We still own around 150 St. Theodosius t-shirts which were designed by my wonderful sisters, Bec and Kt. We have plenty of both designs. Please help us get the word out. We are still accepting donations and selling t-shirts at the cafe. And t-shirts are on our website here.

Thank you Cleveland. I am so proud to be a part of this beautiful city of believers.

Big Big Big love to you all.
